About the cabin

Mya seats are located in national romantic surroundings. The colors of nature change throughout the year and create a varied atmosphere. In autumn, the colors can be reminiscent of a postcard.

However, the area offers fantastic nature experiences in the mountains throughout the year. For example, it’s walking distance to the Mya waterfall, which you can walk to in the summer. You also have several mountain lakes nearby that invite you to fish for mountain trout.

The beautiful mountain farm is a great starting point for skiers, and the traction machine regularly runs the network of trails to Venabygdsfjellet, which runs right past the farm. Mya is quiet and secluded in the winter, so if you want the experience of living on your own in the winter landscape, this is the place to start!

Maybe it’s time to go hunting in the fall? The grazing animals in the mountains have been taken down to the village, and the surrounding forest and mountain terrain can now largely be left to its own devices. It’s quiet and calm, without many disturbing noises. Setra is well located for hunting, with opportunities for small game hunting on your own map, or perhaps you have been lucky enough to hunt big game in the area.
Ps: If you don’t hunt animals, there are cloud marshes as far as the eye can see.

The cabin has a large living room and its own kitchen. It has a traditional standard with a wood-burning fireplace and oven, gas cooking options and solar panels for lighting. The cabin has 3 bedrooms with bunk beds or family bunk + loft. Room for 8–10 people.

Heating is by wood burning in the living room, hallway and kitchen (3 stoves and 1 fireplace). In the courtyard there is room for a fire pit and a long table in the evenings, and in the barn there is space for bikes, skis and prams if needed.
